Ghost on Deck, or GOD as we call him, is a stunning, 15.2hh, registered American Paint Horse (APHA) highly unusual OVERO STALLION WHO CARRIES MAXIMUM SABINO & SPLASH GENES meaning he will leave VERY unusual colours on his foals.

He is bred out of two overo parents, now unlike the tobiano coat pattern, the overo coat pattern cannot be homozygous, meaning there is no 100% guaranteed way of breeding an overo patterened foal, however the MAXIMUM OVERO/SABINO is the highest producing white pattern, which means you have the most chance possible of getting a overo or sabino foal by using this stallion. Unless he was bred to another sabino or overo he will not reproduce his own colour of almost total white.

GOD's sire if the very well know APHA stallion SCRIBBLES CHOICE who himself was a multiple competition winner (Show record: 5 times Grand Champion in Halter and 2 times Reserve Grand Champion), and has produced countless winning offspring. His Dam is a stunningly marked APHA mare who was imported from USA. Both Dam and Sire have photo's below, as well as a selection of God's 2010 offspring.

2009 was GOD's first season standing at stud, and he has proved very successful with 100% of the mares he covered scanning in foal, and so far this season (MAY 2010) he has had 6 foals born, 4 of them have been loud overo, and the plain coloured foals still have white stockings or very unusual loud white faces, so GOD has been a very good colour producer. GOD is available to outside mares for a stud fee of £350 no foal free return, + £18pw grass keep.

He runs out with his mares so owners must be happy for their mare to be turned out with him and his herd, he is very gentle and kind with his girls (and not overly large in the trouser department!) so is particularly suitable for younger, smaller, nervous or maiden mares.
